Christmas

Rocking their super soft and cozy Christmas jammies.
Baby's first Christmas.
Acting out the nativity on Christmas eve. Belen has a lumpy hippo in her belly and is riding a unicorn/donkey. I've got a broom for a shepherds staff. We did the best we could :).

I love taking a moment to be with the lit up tree in the quiet living room before going to bed on Christmas eve. Such a nice moment to reflect on the fun we had during the month of December as all the excitement is soon to come to an end. A moment to reflect on our incredible blessings for having so much and a time to ponder how to serve and lift others more. Most of all, Christmas eve is the time for me to really connect with heaven and feel the testifying witness of the Savior's birth, life, atonement, and resurrection.
And then the real fun begins. Belen rushed right to opening her biggest present, while Shae decided to save his until closer to the end. Belen got a Lego Treehouse set and Shae got a Lego train set.

She was more interested in the wrapping paper than her new soft minky blanket.
I much preferred my new soft weighted blanket to the wrapping paper it came in.

We had such a lovely Christmas day, playing with gifts, building Legos, and talking to family. We invited our sweet friend Melissa to eat a Lasagna dinner with us and play a few games. It was a perfect cozy Christmas.
