Quite a bit more snow in January.
Finally got some wet snow to make a snowman. Belén has been trying to make one all winter long. She named him Olaf Bob Self.
With some pretty bad pelvic and leg pain (thanks to varicose veins and Symphis Pubis Dysfunction), it's been hard for me to be as active with the kids as I would like. I was grateful for this day that I was able to get out and sled with them a bit.
Always making something or coming up with a plan to make something.

First "real" haircut
Panera Bread treat with mom after the hair cut.
Lots of our good friends have January birthdays. It was fun to celebrate them. We started by celebrating Kim's bday with games and Cinnamon Bun cake.
Putting wax candles in a warm cake was not my smartest move.
Peanut Butter Oreo pie for Shanon's birthday.
And a German Chocolate Cake for Cierra's birthday. This was one of the fanciest cakes I've ever tried to make. It was three layers with homemade coconut and toasted pecan fillings. I felt like a rock star making it all from scratch, but sadly it did not taste as good as I had hoped (the pecan layer ended up being super salty :(. Still fun to try something a little "fancier".
Iron Rod Family Home Evening.
Dad came up with the game "knock Dad over" for the activity.
Shae wanted a turn at "Knock Shae over."
Just a girl hanging out in her fort listening to a story.
Loving her new ear muffs.
Still finding her pregnant in the night.
Shae had been looking forward to his school's sock hop for weeks (telling us about all the songs and dances they had been working on in PE), then we realized that his first soccer practice was the same evening. We went to soccer practice and then rushed over to the school for the last half hour of the sock hop. Poor Shae must have just been too tired after soccer practice because he had 0 interest in dancing. We stayed for just a few minutes before going home so that he could go to bed.
