Shae has LOVED going to Boces preschool this past year. I was quite hesitant to enroll him last year, but in the end I am very glad I did. It was only a couple hours a day 3 times a week, so not a lot, but just enough for him to get out in to the "real" world and play and make friends and be creative and get excited about big kid school.
The preschoolers got out of school about a month before everyone else so that the teachers could focus on wrapping up the school year with the high schoolers in the classroom. On the second to last day of class they had their graduation at a playground. The most exciting part was that the kids got to ride the school bus to the playground. Shae had been talking about the yellow school bus field trip all year. He was beside himself with excitement when the day finally came.
Each high schooler was assigned a child at the beginning of the year to observe and work with. Destiny was so perfect for Shae. He talked about her all the time. She was so thoughtful and caring. I loved doing a parent/teacher conference with her at the end of the year and seeing all of the things she had collected throughout the year to show Shae's growth in different areas.
They had a nice snack while the teachers handed out the diplomas.
The preschool students, the high school students, and the two wonderful teachers who made it all possible.
The little siblings got to jump in on the last one. Not so sure what Shae is doing there...
Getting on the the bus to go back to school. He of course asked Elenor to sit by him. Sounds like all the boys fought over who got to sit next to her most days.
Mrs. S was such a wonderful teacher. So grateful for all the amazing people in my children's lives who help shape their world. I sure do hope that we get to work with her again with Belén
when we get home from our travels abroad.

Honestly, neither of them look that different to me, haha. Shae has a bit more of a baby face in the first pictures and Belén MAYBE has a little more hair. I really should have done a before and after of Belén the previous year because that girl was non-stop growing. Well, really since the day she was born. This year she finally seems to be plateauing...a little.
