Our first stop in VA was to see one of my favorite people in the whole world, my roommate of three years and Chile travel companion...MOLLY. We haven't seen them since right before we left Williamsburg three years ago. Belén was just a baby then and Molly's littlest wasn't born yet. It was so fun to meet her sweet chubby toddler girl and catch up in general. I love how we can just pick up like no time has past.
We showed them one of our favorite little farms/playgrounds that we liked to visit while living there. The kids had a blast running around looking at the animals together.
Playing peek-a-boo with the alpaca.
Love this sweet friend. Why oh why did they move to Virginia AFTER we left?
After staying a night with them we spent two nights with our bosom friends, the Lukes. While they were off at school and work our first day with them we headed out to the river to do some strawberry picking. So many fun memories taking this little ferry across the river when Shae was small toddler. We loved doing it again now that the kids are older.
That tongue. Seriously though. Always.
Hi. My name is Belén and I go from happy toddler to cranky toddler in the blink of an eye.
Homemade strawberry ice cream! Or, the real reason we love going to Surry.
Yanked that ponytail out the second we got back in the car. One of those things to remember about her at this age. At least she waited till after our strawberry adventure.
We spent Saturday morning with the Lukes at the Jamestown beach. I didn't get many pictures at all of our time with them, but it was a blast watching the kids all play together, and of course catching up with the grown ups. When we arrived at their house, Belén was asleep in the car. Shae and I got out and sent Darin to drive around with her. We assumed Adam was still at work since it was around 3 p.m., but he was already home. I knew Darin would love the company, so we called him back and Adam jumped right in the car with him. I love how excited they get to see each other.
We loved meeting their little baby, who isn't so little anymore. I always enjoy talking with Sarah and learning all the tricks of life from her. She knows it all!
Until next time Williamsburg.
