We are grateful to have you here and hope that you enjoy your stay.

To give you a little background on the reasoning behind this blog... well... basically, 2 nights ago I was having trouble sleeping because I had stayed up late looking at blogs. That's right, I've been sucked into the world of looking at other peoples blogs. I couldn't help it. They were so interesting and funny and had so many great ideas of crafts and recipes, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc. WARNING: You may not find any of these things here.  But you  may. I suppose that depends on you and your creativity, and me, just a tiny bit.

The thought passed through my  mind, why not create a blog myself?  Then came the fears.

Fears:

• I don't take pride in many things, but one of the few things that I pride myself in is in my journal writing. I am a DANG good journal writer. I love writing in my journal.  I love reading my journals and remembering the HAPPY times, sad times, difficult times, AMAZING times, FUN times... LOVE IT. I've always been scared that if I start a blog, that it would take the place of my journal writing.
• Letting people in, maybe even people that I don't really know very well. Letting them know all about my life and who I am.
• Time. That this thing will suck my life away.
• Not having a fancy pants camera to take cool pictures with that I can post on my blog. After all, who wants to look at pictures taken with a 4 year old Sony camera? (you may want to hit the the "X" in the top right corner of the screen if you agree with this statement).

Then came the justifications:

• This is a form of journal writing! And I can still be good at it.
• Great way to keep in better touch with my family who don't use facebook.
• Maybe I will someday get a nice fancy pants camera because I will CLEARLY need it for my blog :).
• I have weird, crazy, loony thoughts and ideas at times that I want to shout to the world.
• A new hobby to try out over Christmas BBBRRREEEAAAAKKKK!!! 

So, here we are, and happy to be here. I will do most of the writing, but if we're lucky, we'll be privileged to have occasional posts from my dear sweet second half. He likes writing, and sharing his opinions, so I doubt we will need to wait long :).
