7th Birthday

Birthday Eve selfie with this kid on his last day of SIX. We also watched the Ninjango movie and ate pizza to celebrate his birthday eve.
Forcing him to take a picture with this 28 week baby bump.
He seemed to approve of his birthday cereal.
I dropped him off with a big plate of Brookies that he made to share with his class.
We didn't have cake for his actual birthday since we wanted to save that for his party on the weekend, but our sweet neighbor brought over some cupcakes that worked perfectly to celebrate him.
Cake in progress. This was a really fun cake to decorate, although my hand was hurting quite a bit by the end...
 The finished product.

The kids LOVED this Don't Eat Pokemon game (like Don't Eat Pete). They played it for almost a full 45 minutes!

Note all of the balloons on the ceiling in the playroom? Darin helped the kids create static electricity with their hair and stuck them all up there to get the party started.

The focus of a child making a birthday wish.

It was a really fun week celebrating Shae. He is such a good friend to others, because he FEELS. He really cares. He also really likes order and structure and has a hard time when things deviate from the original plan (or the plan he has in his head). He hates wearing jeans and much prefers sweat pants or soccer shorts. He loves the Dragon Masters series and cuddles/hugs with mom and dad. His soft blanket and stuffed animals bring him all the comfort. He is a total gamer and could play board games/card games for hours straight if someone were to play with him. He hates when I touch his hair, but loves getting his back massaged or scratched. He loves building and creating any and all things. After 2 years of only eating scrambled eggs with ketchup, he now prefers fried eggs. So grateful for all the things that Shae has taught me over the years.

Shae's Current FAVORITES (according to him :):
Food: Bacon and Creamy Chicken Soup
Treats: Reeses and Vanilla, Chocolate, and Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream
Books: Two Peas in a Pod (Whatever After series) and Dragon Masters
Movies: Descendants 2
Song: It's Goin' Down (from Descendants 2)
Animal: Cheetah and Penguin
Color: Light Red

If I were to add anything to this list I would add that he loves white rice, York peppermint patties, and Taco Salad (Really the only salad he likes. He eats veggies really well, but has never been a huge lettuce fan).

And when I asked him how he feels about getting a new sister soon he said, "Part good, part bad. Part good because little girls are so cute and part bad because little sisters can be annoying."
