Visit to the National Mosque

We have been in Paraguay a little over a week now. We have settled in nicely, so now...catch up time!

At the beginning of March we went to the National Mosque and took a tour. It was such a cool experience. Shae had been asking since we arrived in Jakarta when we would get to go in a mosque, so he was really excited that we finally got to. It was fascinating to learn about Islam and to be able to witness people praying and practicing their religion so devoutly.
Our tour guide showing us how to wash different parts of the body before you go in to the big room to pray.

Our tour guide told us that during Ramadan every single one of those squares (in the outside overflow area) is filled with people praying.

The Catholic Church across the street from the  mosque is also very beautiful.

We pass so many of these little cars each day, I had to document them.
