There are so many fun things to do in Ithaca during Halloween week. We have always loved trick-or-treating at the Commons and it was no different this year. We met up with some buddies and filled our buckets full of yummy candies.
Taking a little snack/bathroom break at one of the stores.
All ready for our church Halloween party:
Darin was off at a conference in England for a lot of the Halloween festivities which was a bummer, and led to some cut off pictures by Shae, but nothing too bad :).
13 weeks, and let me just say, those pants were TIGHT.
Making mini-cupcakes for her preschool Halloween party.
The kids got to trick-or-treat all around the vocational school campus. Here they are in the nursing school.
You can't tell from her face, but she was SO excited to be sitting on Mrs. S' lap as she explained the outline of the party.
Shae's turn at making cupcakes for his class party.
It was really rainy the day of Halloween, so their school parade ended up being mostly inside.
I got to help organize the Halloween party which was fun.
Shae passed out cupcakes to his classmates and made sure that his really good friend got this one that he made special for her.
And...the lone picture from the actual night of Halloween because it was pouring rain and we didn't stay out too long. Thankfully, we already had plenty of candy by this point.
A few days after Halloween we decided to use up some of that candy by making a little candy town.
Such a fun way to use up more than half of our candy. Hoping that this turns in to a family tradition. And since we never get around to making gingerbread houses at Christmastime...
