March Little Things

I put together a little scavenger hunt for the kids on St. Patty's day to find gold coins throughout the house hidden by a leprechaun. It was so sweet to hear them squeal when they woke up, convinced that a leprechaun had come in and decorated their bed. There morning faces were definitely more gleeful than this picture shows :).
The scavenger hunt was nothing at all fancy. But I had fun putting it together and they seemed to enjoy themselves running through the apartment looking for all the coins.

They found a big box of Lucky Charms at the end. Poor Belén, she got beat to the last treasure.

Skyping Ibu. Love how they are all cuddled up.

 I married a stud.
So excited to help make her bday cake!

I honestly don't remember what was going on here, probably just something for me to remember that there are actually days where they do play nicely with each other.
A drawing of our family that I found on Belén's white board.
She was SO excited to get this Doc McStuffins kit with her birthday money.
Just another bedtime at our house. Blurs of naked.
We had some friends over and they taught us to play Carcasonne and then let us borrow it. It's a really good 2 player game.
My friend and I have kids that are the exact same age and love playing with each other. Sometimes we do kid swaps where she will take one of mine and I will take one of hers. It is so fun to just have the 3 year olds or just the 5 year olds. They just play so well without the bigger or littler kids around. We obviously also watch both kids at times too, but these kid swaps have become a huge hit. During this swap I covered the table with paper and Belén and her bud drew forever together. Their little conversations are just the best.

One time I found them just hanging out like this talking to each other.
"S" day at toddler school at one of the other kids houses. Her mom took these cute pictures. Belén talks about the day she got to be a scientist all the time.
Not much to add to all the snow we've already gotten this winter, but of course we got plenty of it in March as well. It wouldn't have been Pi Day without the snow. (We didn't do a pie day party this year b/c our RS did a Pie Day Bake Club and made a bunch of pies together).

A clear sign that the kids are coming down with something...falling asleep without a peep before noon. This happened on the way home from a few days in PA. Belén slept terribly the three nights we were there. There was definitely a sickness to blame for it. Poor kids.
Cuddling sick, but goofy, Belén
One of Shae's made up games. This one he included some of his cousins on and cut out little stick people of them for their pieces. We had to flip the cards over to know how many spaces to move. He is forever inventing his own games. (And making up rules in the middle of it which makes it slightly annoying to play at times, but I'll cut him some slack since he's five).
