Afternoon at the Expo

A few pics from our day visiting the Expo that was going on in Asuncion during the month of July.
 All that meat!
Speaking of meat...there were so many buildings full of cows. Cows for days.

 What the?

One smiles in one picture and the other in the other. It's just how it goes.

Felt a little bad eating all this delicious meat RIGHT next to a stall of cows that were watching us...
Crossing off "try Mbeju" on the Paraguay bucket list, which mostly consists of trying traditional foods like this. Mbeju is made from mandioca flour and has some cheese. It's a little cheesy starchy pie sort of thing.

We let the kids choose a ride. She always chooses the merry-go-round. But it cracked me up that she chose the elephant to sit on this time.

 And then they bounced.

 Stopped by a space exhibit

And also a traffic and road safety exhibit.

The kids played some of the traffic safety games and when they were done, the sweet employee asked us to wait for a second. She ran to the back and pulled out these Traffic and Road Safety hats for the kids. I felt a little bad because none of the other kids got hats when they were done with the games, but it was a really sweet gesture and the kids were very excited.

Belén put hers on and declared, "Now I finally have a BYU hat!"
Finished the day off with some yummy ice cream...

...and bubbles all the way home. (Being given a straw when you purchase a water bottle is a common thing down here).
